MTN MoMo warns customers of MoMo Capital Scam

As part of efforts to protect MoMo users and their funds in their wallets from scams, MTN MoMo has sent a new fraud (Scam) alert to users. It notes with concern a post circulating on social media (Facebook) under the handkle Sensation 24 with the header “MoMo Capital – an opportunity you cannot miss”
According to MTN MoMo, the said post shows images of renowned broadcast journalist Courage Wiafe and Chief Commercial Officer of the MTN Group, Selorm Adadevoh.
MTN by this notice is informing the general public that the post is both a malicious clickbait and a scam. It added that the general public should disregard the post and its content.

All such fake announcements should also be reported to the company through its official handles as well as being reported to the Ghana Police Service to help protect the public from such crimes and criminals.
